Abstract

The crystal structure of a DNA quadruplex, d(TGGGGT), crystallized in the presence of calcium and sodium ions, shows the presence of both ions in the central channel of the structure. This was verified by anomalous dispersion maps, which unequivocally showed the presence of calcium ions.
